Haiti Trip - Overview

Amber and I are going to Haiti on July 1st-7th with 7 other members of Ballardsville Baptist Church (and 1 from another local church).  The trip is led by Brent Gambrell, the President of A Door to Hope Ministries. He has an ongoing ministry presence in Haiti, which takes short-term missionaries to areas of strategic outreach. We will be going to a village called Calebasse (Cal-eh-bass).

We know we will be in Calebasse for prayer walking, sharing the gospel, and doing home repair. We don’t know exactly what else we will help with yet, because it could change before July! The possibilities include the building/repair of a church, helping with a pastor’s conference, VBS, or orphanage repair. Much of the work focuses on recovery and repair from the disasters Haiti experienced in 2010 (7.0 earthquake) and 2016 (Hurricane Matthew).

Would you partner with us in praying for our trip? Be sure to email me at Bronson@bbclife.org if you would like to be part of the prayer list.

April & May 2020 - Birthday, Baby Showers, Nesting, and Building Projects

Hey Family and Friends, Writing about life has been hard for two reasons lately: 1) we are cooped up and there isn't much variation in our life - like many of you are experiencing. 2) We don't know what is next. People often ask what is next because I finished my degree, but I don't have answers. I am thankful for my current job and I'm not "itching to get out of town." We are taking one day at a time and praying about what might be next. I am considering a PhD and also a part time teaching job. Life surely isn't all uncertainty and routine though - here are a few highlights: This meme spoke to me😃 Graduation/Birthday I had my 30th Birthday in April and graduated Seminary shortly after! I am relieved and also excited about what plans the Lord has for us next. On my birthday, I received many wonderful celebration videos and texts, but this one made me laugh quite a a bit: Family Bible Time Pastor Don and I have been making weekl...

September 2019: Netflix is how much?

Family and Friends, here is an overview of September! New Early September we got to lead some youth on a local service project to help Good News Homes. I failed to take many good pictures, but here is a glimpse: Cleaning up trimmed bushes Also, My parents came in town to visit us. We had a great time with them at Bernheim Forest and downtown Louisville. We walked the park, ate out, and talked/prayed with a homeless gentleman downtown Louisville. (shortly after he showed us this camera) It was a joy to see family and it made us anticipate more time like this during the holidays! Also, my dad has a favorite "Youtuber" that films in Louisville. I usually only hear youth at church talk about their favorite "Youtubers," so that was funny. Sorry we didn't have time to visit him, Dad! I preached a sermon on the conception and birth of Jesus, so I showed clip of me on my 1st birthday as an illustration. The youth thought it was fun and it worked...

January 2019

A few family and friends have asked if we send out something to keep loved ones updated on our life since we are separated by distance. I want to try and post/send a short update for each month that reviews something new or exciting, difficult, funny, and how you can keep us in prayer.  This is the first go at that. (This is Bronson typing, by the way) On our Kentucky "snow day" New/Exciting Since the New Year began, I went to a missions conference and took a conference course. As part of an assignment I had to interview 3 foreign nationals who are not Christians. I interviewed an Imam (a Muslim "pastor") and it was a great learning experience. I am more convinced than ever of the beauty of Christianity as the only religion where God saves us, while other religions only offer men how to obtain salvation for themselves. Here is an edited video  (for time's sake) of the interview I showed to some youth. Another exciting thing is that I was blessed ...
